Upcoming Classes:

Upsidedown Tomato Planter
Cost: $25.00

Even if you don’t have a garden you can enjoy fresh ripe tomatoes by growing an Upside Down tomato planter. We invite you to join us for a fun one hour workshop in which you make your own planter. We supply a large hanging pot (with hole in the bottom), a tomato plant (dozens of varieties to choose from), and soil. Our baskets are large enough that many people choose to plant flowers or herbs on top.

This year we are offering two classes:

Saturday, April 17, 2010 - 10am to 11am or
Sunday, April 18, 2010 - 1pm to 2pm.
Cost: $25.00 per planter Please RSVP by April 16.

Hanging Baskets

Each year more than 100 eager gardeners and non-gardeners join us to make their own hanging flowering basket - many make two or three! After a short talk about soils, fertilizers, watering and plant selection, we demonstrate how to make a hanging basket. Participants wander through our eight greenhouses, select their plants and head back to the class room (greenhouse) to assemble their basket.

After the baskets are completed we keep them in our warm greenhouse until you are ready to take them home, which is typically by Mother’s Day.

Our 2010 classes are completed but please join us in 2011 for this fun event. For 2011 the dates are March 26 and 27.
